January 27, 2014

All,
Happy Day. I hope that you are all doing well, or at least not frigid, meanwhile I am enjoying upper 60's and low to mid 70's. Yay. I love that, although I'll probably enjoy it less when the summer comes... I'll deal w/ that later though.
Anyway,
The work is moving, albeit more slowly than I'd like as Fransisco will not be getting baptized anytime soon as his family is being catholic, and feels that he is betraying them by becoming mormon. C'est la vie. He and his family will come around, they just won't anytime soon. as they "barely tolerate [our] visits." And he came to church again in a suit. That contrast is so disheartening, He loves us, and church. He even sings, or at least tries to. That's devotion.
His family though... hmmmm, that;s missionary work for you. periods of intense growth, followed by a period of trial and tribulation. Yay, I love life....
Anyway, to cap it off, the rest of our baptismal dates have been dropped as they have vanished. But, that means they weren't elect, and I am called to save the elect, and the non-elect alike. it's just easier to save the elect as they actually listen to me, or at least pretend to....
Aside from that, I get to spent a day up at the office as Elder Cisneros has trunky temple trip on Friday. We need to be up at the office at 9:00, and he'll be there until 5-6, so I get to spend the day w/ an Elder Harris who hails from England, so I'll get to practice my English accent for a couple hours. yay me!!
That's the week, may the next one be better, or at least have more to say...
