Once again, It's time for my weekly update.
This week I have started to realize just how close I am to leaving for the field, I am on the cusp of having the potential to change people's lives in such a way that they will be able to live and love, in a way that they couldn't otherwise. The whole purpose of my message is a message of change, and a message of repentance, that's the purpose of and compromiso is to invite change on the part of the investigator. This is my call, in part.
The other major revelation that I've had since I've been here is the importance of hope. For a long time, I've adopted the Hobbesian view of humanity, and in my studies and thinking, I've realized that humanity is as a whole neutral and chooses to act based on who they are acted upon (2 Ne 2: 16) and really the most important thing to have in this life is hope, as "if you have not hope you must needs be in despair, which despair cometh because of iniquity" (Moroni 10:22) The key is to keep hope, otherwise you are being enticed by Satanas and that's iniquity. That is my call to carry the gospel of hope unto the earth.
Hope is the foundation of this gospel. In order to change, you need to have hope, and hope cometh before desire, and after desire cometh change (Alma 32:21-32). Christ provides hope to all, he is the "way truth and light" and his infinite atonement is the only thing that allows us to change.
I've also realized the worth of a soul. To me, a soul is the single most valuable thing in the entire universe. Christ's atonement is infinite (D&C 19:15-19) That means that any souls worth is infinite based on supply and demand. Supply and demand determines a price, and the price that Christ payed for my soul, and y'alls souls is infinite. It cannot be computed or understood by the finite mind of a mortal being.
These previous three paragraphs are the crowning learning experience I've has here at the MTC
With regard to my feelings, I feel that I'll miss the MTC, but it's time to leave and make an actual difference, as in the MTC, I'm just teaching members, teachers and class members, and that doesn't make much of a difference as a whole, comparatively. I'm ready to go, the key is in the ignition and the engine is being revved.
To put it simply, It's time to go.
Love Y'all
