I must say, y'all sound really busy, for which I am glad. It is so much harder to get busy than stay busy, as evidenced by the area I'm now in. We just keep getting busier. The work is moving faster and faster and we just keep finding more people who need our attention and when coupled with the instruction of Elder Ballard for all missionaries to have 10 meaningful gospel conversations a day, we keep busy, busy, busy.
It's really rather amazing that we are able to keep track of everyone and make sure that no-one slips through the cracks. Thank goodness for planners and whiteboards. Without them I'd be so lost.
The general description of this week is summed up in running around trying to get something done. We just run from one activity to another, trying to make sure that no-one gets forgotten. The problem is that so many people need our help. And those who one would normally expect to be helping us are now in need of our help. Oh, the irony. Oh well, that's what happens when you stop going to church, and stop living the gospel. Please don't ever, ever, ever do that! It's not worth it, I've seen the cost and it's so high, your life literally falls apart, I'm seeing it right now. This family, Los T. is literally falling apart. No me gusta, de ningun manera (I don't like it, not all all). Please, learn from their mistakes and don't make the same ones.
Aside from that relatively bad situation, life is going really well as Los Gr. have resolved their ID problems and will be getting married and baptized within the next several weeks, so all is well.
In other news I have taken it upon us to make sure that all of the records related to the people in my area are completely up to date and that everyone in my area understands the need to keep their records up to date. I must say, the ward clerk is getting a bit tired of me coming to him with action items.
But It keeps the work moving, and the bishop is pleased with our work, and we are united in the work, as the ward is actually starting to work with us. The work is accelerating. It always accelerates when missionaries, ward leaders and ward members are untied in the work. Me gusta! (I like it!)
Actually, there is evidence of this concept. When I got in this area, we'd have 3-4 dinners a week, now we get 6-7 a week, a causa de que estoy bien feliz (a cause for happiness). Now all we need is to get the ward completely behind us.
But It'll happen, I have faith.
Another great thing that happened this week. One of our RC (recent converts) has started reaching out to his family to help them experience the joy he now feels and his mom (Dora D.) has accepted the invitation to learn, and loves coming to church. The only catch is that she's almost impossible to teach, as she's constantly guardando (babysitting) un nino (brandon), who is a real pedazo of work, a handful. But she wants to progress. The only problem is that she, like many other Latinos, is flojo. It take a lot of work to get them to do anything, but then they tend to keep doing it, gracias a dios.
But that's the week,
May God bless all who read this,
