All,
I'm glad that you are well.
I learned a new word in Spanish this
week that I'd like to share, pecs (as in chest muscles) - problems. No hay pecs-
no problems here.
My good neighbor, mauricio.
Anyway, we found a new investigator this
past week, his name is Fransico. He needs some major help as he's been an
alcoholic for the past 25 years. He crossed a major street to talk to us on Tuesday last and then come Friday,
he says that he knows the message we're teaching is true. He's also been sober
since Wednesday, a major accomplishment for him apparently. The only catch is
that his family feels that he is betraying them because their "catholic",
although they only go to church "when time allows" which I'm interpreting as
Mother's Day and Christmas, and maybe Easter and a couple others, but whatever.
The bigger problem is that this family, Los L****, have no interest in talking to
us aside from Fransico, and he won't get baptized unless his family will support
him. Please pray for him, he needs it, pray for his family as well so that
their hearts will be softened. (the prayer of the righteous availeth much.
Aside from that, nothing's really
happening in my area aside from the fact that we live 8 miles away from the ward
building. It's at 400 N. Centila ave, Inglewood. While we live on Lemoli
and 135th in Hawthorne. so much fun. such a long bike ride, But I can't
complain, Brett might walk that far to an appointment, while I go there 2-5
times a week. My mission is so small
Also, my tendinitis is coming back this
time in both knees. Is that normal? I'm starting to get a bit concerned about
it, but I don't know what to do about it, as as far as I know there is nothing I
can do about it. But that's the price I pay to serve. I'll take that cross and
bear it gladly. After all, John 14:26 bears me up, and I know that this is the
Lords work and he "doeth nothing save it be for the benefit of the children of
men".
Anyway.
That's the week.
Have a good one.
C
