Family,
This week, missionary work was not too shabby, not too
shabby at all. We found a new investigator, p-------, and taught him the
restoration. It was fun as we spent the lesson on the steps leading up to a
random apartment building as he thinks that his roomies won't like the gospel.
We just found him yesterday evening so, kinda hard to get him to church, as the
meeting starts at 10:45 with Sunday school. However, I’m also glad he wasn't
there as the Gospel Principles lesson was on Eternal marriage, and
how it enables eternal progression. However, it changed into a lesson on how
eternal marriage enables deification, not something you teach to an
investigator. I cringed throughout.
We've also started visiting a LA by the name of J--- C-----,
who hasn't been to church in several years, in the interim, he tore something
in his knee as part of his job, so he's been bedridden for a while, and as a
result, he's been compelled to be humble, so.. I'll take it. There is a
noticeable difference in his home since we arrived. It was a very, very dark
place, now I can see the light of the gospel coming into his life. It's so
rewarding.
I, too, love the hymns. As to the hymn, if I may make a suggestion,
back in April of 2007 there was a song called Love the lord, an arrangement of
Nefi's Psalm which I love, it's to the tune of Be Still My Soul. Here's the

According to the mission doctor, who I visited on
president's orders, I am suffering from tendinitis in my knee, so there's not
much I can do, just gut through it, and make it work. Yep, the pain is
receding, it is not too bad. Painkillers, ice, and morning stretching are
helping.
My bike is working wonderfully. Now all I need is a better
helmet as the one I have right now is rather ghetto. However, as I am in the
ghetto, it probably fits in.
Best,
C
