February 9, 2012

This week we got 2 new investigators, and they are very wary of what we are teaching them, we've taught them once, and spent the entire lesson just trying to learn about their problems so that we could help them. we spent 30 min on the ``doorstep`` just trying to get in. it was a very unique experience. we also have finally convinced 2 of our investigators that they need to get married, and baptized, although it took us 5 lessons to do it.

In the fireside on tuesday night, we had Richard C Edgly, speak to us. In that discourso, I realized 2 things, one I´m already at the tree of life, I've already tasted of the fruit, and I know the joy that it brings, that's one of the reasons why I'm here on a mission, why would I then complain about the associated costs of it, the home teaching, mutual, the WoW, the perpetual meetings, the Leadership responsibilities, all of it is to help us to more fully enjoy the fruit of the tree. The second insight I gained was similar to that: The Level of darkness percieved dependes on how much light we are used to. We have the light of Christ, and the gospel, we have the Holy Ghost, we have the light, why then would we turn our backs on the light and descend into the darkness?

I also had an insight into my purpose, I am not here to make people think that It'd be nice to change, my job is to make people need to change, and then once they have changed, to not go back. because if they do go back, then I have hurt them because they have the greater light. i cannot do that in good conscience. That'd be rude and unbecoming of me as a representative of Jesus Christ.

i also had an insight that prayer is a reset button. It restores us to our default state, that of feeling close to God, I Exhort you all, to pray regularly to your father, God, with real intent of purpose.

Yesterday I had an insight that I used in one of my lessons. In life there are 2 doors. One for Satan and one for Jesus. One is always opening, we choose which. Repentance is how we close satan's door. please, clsoe Satan's door, He wants to influence you in ways you don't want to be influenced.

My Purpose:

Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them to recieve the restored gospel through: Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, the Reception of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End.

Having a time,
