February 2, 2012

Hello all,

This week we got a new investigator and he seems to be very receptive to our message. he was absolutely thrilled to be given a copy of the book of mormon to read. And he almost jumped out of his seat in joy when we invited him to pray at the close of the lesson. I have a feeling that he's not a real investigator but a  member volunteer.

I also participated as a proxy in sealings for the first time, and I must say, I want that laundry list of blessings, it's amazing, and part of my patriarchal blessing depends on  getting sealed. I will get married and sealed, I pledge my honor on it.

This tuesday, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the CCM, and we had Elder Russel M. Nelson and Jeffry R. Holland come and speak to us. here are some quotes:
"You have a solemn duty, an obligation, to be all that the members expect of you.
"You have an obligation to serve with all of your heart now that you are here.
"may God bless us all that we will be able to faithfully execute the callings that we have been called to, and be able to fulfill to trust the lord has placed in us"
- you might have been able to guess that these quotes are all by Elder Holland, he is such a powerful orator, the most powerful orator of the twelve. I know without a shadow of a doubt that he is an Apostle of the Lord God, called to the same fundamental calling I have, to be a special witness of the Señor, Jesucristo.

In response to your questions, dad, I spend my P-days in the temple, writing letters, doing laundry, cleaning up, and other sundry things,  I also nap on occasion. The food lines vary from day to day, and at what poin in the day we arrive to eat, within the established eating times, generally they aren't to bad, but on occassion they are terrible, and those days aren't fun.

Brett, I hope you get better. However, If you want something to study, I would recommend 2 nephi 2. It is currently my favorite chapter in El Libro de Mormon.
It is great. It also helped me to recieve a partial answer to a deep doctrine question- see last weeks email.

Please ask grandma to send me 9 male names that need endowment, and 4 that need initiatory, endowment and sealing. Please also ask her to send me 3 female names that need endowments, and 3 that need intiatory endowment and sealing, if possible. I want to use family names whenever possible.

It's raining right now, and I'm having a great time. I love it when the mountains are shrouded in clouded. they look so cool when they are shrouded in clouds.

Love Y'all,

Cameron
