All,
Thanks for the prayers, I feel their effects.
Please tell Brett to shape up, I don't want him to alienate the managers to me, should I ever come back...yeah right.
Anyway, Brett, Congrats on going al templo, it is the best thing you can do, I cherish the temple, and wish with all my heart I could spend more time their. If I could I'd live their but alas, I cannot.
I particularly encourage you to pay attention to the window directly opposite you when you walk into the celestial room, I have yet to see it's equal anywhere, or in any temple. It is beautiful.
I'm also glad that y'all are starting to catch the missionary spirit, I would encourage all of y'all who are reading this letter to do so, as a member of the second quorum of the 70 promised that if we look for someone to share the gospel with, we will find them by the end of the year. they are there, we just need to find them. After all, the field is white (at least in theory, in the jungle, I'm not so sure) and ready to harvest. We just need to open our mouths and act. What's holding us back? fear, and God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of faith.
Go to, find someone, just think, if everyone shared the gospel and had one person baptized among their friends, the church membership would reach a billion in less than 10 years, isn't that something, to match the Catholics by 2023. That'd be fun, about as much fun as we had on Saturday at Taste of Soul, a street fair that we visited on Saturday. probably 20k of people throughout the day.
An event photographer took our picture, as we were 4 white guys in white shirts and ties with nametags at a moreno celebration. Yay us!!! We're awesome.
However, I would encourage you to not worry about the "multitasking" factor, as we are used to it, there's soccer on at about a quarter of the members houses that I visit, and last night we visited an eternigator who's boyfriend was watching the end of the broncos-colts game, that's just part of missionary life. We just preseverar (persevere), and make due.
Nicole, good job, keep pressing on with your soccer stuff, I know it's hard at times, but confidence is key. I'd encourage you to watch the prelims of La Copa Mundial, as they're really good.
Also, as a mission we are reading the Book of Mormon before Christmas, and I decided to mark every reference to Christ, and what he has/is/will be doing, it's full of Christ, I'm honestly amazed at how much he's in there. My mind has been blown.
I'm also reading the entire Bible, I'm currently in early Jeremiah, and I'm realizing just how forgiving God is. I would have given up on Israel easy. But he hasn't and will never give up on us, so why do we give up on ourselves? We can get better and must as it is only in the trying that we do in fact get better.
Enjoy these pics stickers distributed right after the treyvon martin verdict. There's going to be another rally tomorrow this one sponsored by the peoples revolutionary communist party to stop arbitrary police brutality. They have fliers and posters and we might swing by on our way out to see it. I'll be sending one out today, do not look at it until Brett has seen it, he'll find it funny, and appreciate it.
Best regards all, "now lets get to work."
