January 12, 2012

With regards to who Cesar, now Noe is, they are church members who has consented to being taught by us, and helping us to learn to teach.

The food has lost all of its appeal, I am literally forcing myself to eat just so I'm not hungery. I don't advise eating the food here for long, about 3 weeks is the maxiumum.

On tuesday we had our devotional, it was a devotional taught by Russel M. Nelson. It was amazing. He talked about the scattering and gathering of Israel, the primary purpose of missionary work. it literally is my whole job to enable people to rejoin or join the house of Isreal and to enable the to be partakers in the covenant of Abraham, which  is an amazing thing, considering all the blessings attached to it.

I also went to  a workshop yesterday it which we discussed how God's purpose relates to my purpose as a missionary. I am responsible for half of God's purpose. It is my job to help insure that he doesn't fail in his purpose of bringing to pass the enternal life of man, as I am the person who allows the "lost children of God's family to find their way onto the path to eternal Life, and because I am doing this, I cannot fail, because God cannot fail, if he did, he would cease to be God.

The most important spiritual insight I had this week was while I was reading in Mormon's first farewell. I realized that a life lived without the spirit is not worth living because the spirit is what brings joy in this life.

Also, "MIssionaries are the bridge between God and his wayword lost children who labor in darkness, because they don't know where to find the truth."

  2. Hey Elder Wilson, Hard to believe it has already been over 3 weeks since you left home. So glad to hear all is OK (except for the food). It will get better with time. My Grandmother used to say that hunger was the best spice to make the meal even better. I know you are learning a lot. Keep a good journal so you can share it with others when you get back. Love you and know you are doing well. Uncle Denny
