Thanks for the Letter, it's one of 3 I've gotten so far.
My companion is Elder Lane, and he's from Georgia. He's leaving on his mission 2 days before me, on the 27th of febuary.
My schedule is very hectic, and I am spending alot of time studying the scriptures. I am realizing how little I actually know, and how far I have to go in order to be able to teach people in the way I would like to. But in spite of the schedule, I am enjoying my time here @ the MTC, because of the wonderful time I am having here, it is sop very satisfing to be able to spend all day learning things that I actually care about. I have never had this exprience before, it is extremely pleasant.
In response to teachers, I have no formal teacher. Every time we go to classroom instruction, we have a new teacher, it's actually a little bit disconcerting. I am reminded of how I felt when Mrs. Hill was on maternal leave for the first time. I have not made my trek to the temple yet, however, I do that tomorrow (Sunday).
In Gym I play volleyball, as it is the most placid of the activities I could be doing. no one cares about keeping score and we are all equally bad.
The MTC is such a placcid place, I feel so calm here. there is such a sweet spirit I actually can't fully express it in words. it's rather disconcerting.
Also, Aunt Elena was right, I got an orange dot, and true to her advice, I didn't throw it away, instead I put in on the back of my name tag, and had fun welcoming the noobs who still wore their orange dots. (some still are :))
how did scout react when oreo came home for the first time? How are y'all doing?
Did they split the ward yet?
I need a new alarm clock, as the face of mine doesn't display correctly and I cannot make sense of any of the numbers, and I need time, as time flys by so rapidly here I can not belive that I have been here for 3 days already. it just feels so weird.
I love it here.
